The client services team is central to the agency’s delivery of campaigns and projects for their clients. The Senior Account Manager has direct responsibility for their clients, supporting a client team on a day-to-day basis.
The Role
The Senior Account Manager will be a key client contact, managing and supporting on the client’s strategy development, creative, data and general client management. Whilst day-to-day delivery is key, they also will be involved in bigger strategic projects and financial management and reporting. They will have responsibility, empowerment and support and there is room to progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial and financial
- Develop good relationships with junior and mid-level clients whilst supporting their senior team in driving revenue growth on the account
- Be alert to business opportunities and work with their AD to help leverage those opportunities
- Develop and present cost estimates as formal budgets to the client, ensuring that costs are managed and budgets adhered to
- Work with their AD to ensure compliance with all company and network financial and legal processes as well as reporting procedures
- Act as the core client contact for all project queries including timing plans, budgets and creative work
Account and Project Organisation and Management
- Receive and understand project briefs from AD or from clients and manage work through creative/studio
- Develop formal agency briefs, translating from client verbal and written briefs to the agency templates
- Manage timings plans to ensure that projects are delivered effectively and on time
- Take ownership of more advanced projects and campaigns – management and execution of specific campaigns
- Create and amend timing plans and status reports for project management purposes and ensure timely delivery
- Manage the completion and distribution of team status and contact reports, ensuring that all are written up in a timely fashion
- Manage the timeliness and accuracy of all written documents generated by yourself and any Account Managers
- Ensure all financial processes are followed, including the receipt of Purchase Orders, the drafting of Invoices and the preparation of monthly reporting relating to projects
- Where appropriate, you will be responsible for close collaboration with Data Planners and Ops teams to liaise and coordinate segmentation and targeting for campaign work
Delivering Great Product
- To work with their Line Manager and the Creative team to deliver creative excellence and produce ideas which answer the brief whilst exciting and challenging the client
- To work to develop good internal relationships with Creative, Planning, project management and Technical teams
- Help to review creative work in an objective and constructive manner, working closely with Creative Services and the Creative Team to deliver outstanding results
Talent Management
- Where appropriate, help to train and nurture Account Executives and Account Managers, managing their time and ensuring inclusion in meetings and briefings
Wider Agency
- To attend and contribute to company brainstorms and strategy meetings
- To maintain company image and behaviours at all times
Who You Are
Essential:
- A skilled project manager with the ability to multi-task across numerous projects
- Good experience in writing on and offline creative and production briefs as well as reviewing creative product
- Experienced in campaign management with an understanding of deployment systems – across upload, testing, deployment and reporting and/or Creative & print processes
- Numerate with a solid understanding of financial management and profitability
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Strong written communication skills demonstrated through email, offline communications and brief writing
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Good presentation skills
- Experience in managing people would be advantageous with the ability to delegate and oversee project and admin work
Desired:
- It would be advantageous to have an understanding of data
- Relevant experience and professional qualifications would also be advantageous
