Role Summary:

The Data Privacy Manager will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening the organization’s data privacy and protection framework within the banking and financial services sector. This role involves leading privacy risk assessments, developing internal privacy regulations and policies, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and industry standards. The manager will also create dashboards and reports to monitor privacy metrics, highlight risks, and support executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct data privacy risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.

Develop, implement, and maintain internal data privacy policies, standards, and regulations.

Ensure compliance with regional and international data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, DIFC, ADGM, local banking regulations).

Design and maintain dashboards to monitor privacy performance, incidents, and key risk indicators.

Prepare reports and present insights to senior management and regulators.

Collaborate with IT, Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to embed privacy best practices across the business.

Provide training and awareness sessions to staff on data privacy obligations.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Information Security, IT, or a related field.

7-10 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or risk management, preferably in the banking and financial services sector.

Strong knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, DIFC DP Law, ADGM DP Regulations).

Experience in creating privacy dashboards and reporting tools for management oversight.

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are highly desirable.
