eCommerce Developer – part time

Our client is an NZ success story that was founded 2 decades ago on a vision to provide high quality blank apparel as a canvas for creatives, marketers and business all over the world.

As they push into international markets, they have outgrown their current eCommerce needs and an exciting opportunity has arisen to bring some of that Front End Development in house, with a view to building up their internal capability.

The storefront is BigCommerce which brings together their B2B and B2C operations, so experience on that or a similar platform essential.

Located in modern premises in Westgate, Auckland, you will work amongst a fun passionate team, with free parking and all the amenities closeby.

The role:

• Develop, maintain and enhance the frontend features for their BigCommerce site
• Deliver clean, maintainable code
• Collaborate with the designers, backend devs, internal teams and external agency
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
• Ensure solutions are responsive, accessible and optimised for SEO

You:

• Commercial frontend dev experience, with proven delivery on Ecommerce projects and equivalent
• Front end specialisation in React or JavaScript ES6+
• Hands on experience with BigCommerce platform with Storefront API (GraphQL)
• Thorough testing and debugging skills (unit testing)
• SEO best practice
• Understanding of software delivery cycle and Agile methodology
• DevOps specialisation in CI/CD, Gut Workflow and development
