Employee Relations Representative
- 6-months contract opportunity for maternity leave cover
- Offering: $480 per day including super
- Hybrid work arrangements – 2 days on-site and 3 days work from home

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leading and global enterprise IT cloud company who are redefining the application development platform. In this role, you will be the frontline point of contact for managers and employees across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to regional leadership within our global ER team, you will handle hands-on case management covering workplace relations, performance challenges, and conduct matters.
Responsibilities:
Workplace Investigations
- Conduct low-to-moderate complexity investigations into retaliation, hostile work environment, unfair performance management, and inappropriate professional conduct.
- Partner with Global Employment Law on legal nuances and escalate complex matters appropriately.
Performance Management
- Coach managers on documenting feedback, conducting difficult performance conversations, and supporting employees fairly.
Conflict Resolution
- Mediate interpersonal conflicts between employees and managers with empathy and neutrality.
- Help resolve workplace disputes before they escalate to formal investigations.
Crisis Management
- Partner with Global Safety and Security on employee well-being and sensitive situations.
Education and Preferred Skills (Min 3 years):
- 3+ years of direct ER, HR, or related experience, including performance management and/or workplace investigations.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance in Australia and/or New Zealand; willingness to deepen expertise.
- Experience with HR ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite; comfort navigating HRIS platforms.
- Comfortable with current AI tools and platforms; ability to apply AI outputs responsibly in ER contexts.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written); ability to adjust style for diverse audiences.
- Comfort with ambiguity, stress, and emotionally charged situations.
- Data-driven mindset with curiosity about how technology can improve processes.
- Creative problem-solving and forward-thinking approach.
