Engineering Change Control Board Engineer– Major Rail Project (Sydney)
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Change Control Board (ECCB) Engineer to support a major rail infrastructure project in Sydney. This role is responsible for managing and controlling engineering changes to ensure safety, compliance, and technical integrity across railway systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and administer the ECCB and engineering change process
· Receive, assess, track, and close Engineering Change Requests/Proposals
· Coordinate and chair ECCB meetings and support risk-based decision-making
· Review engineering changes across signalling, rolling stock, power, track & civil, telecoms, and integrated systems
· Assess impacts on safety, RAMS, operations, and life-cycle cost
· Ensure compliance with rail safety standards, regulatory requirements, and RAMS
· Coordinate safety assessments and interface with Safety Assurance and ISA
· Maintain configuration control, documentation, and end-to-end change traceability
· Liaise with engineering, operations, maintenance, projects, contractors, and suppliers

Selection Criteria:
· Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or Railway Engineering (or equivalent)
· Minimum 3 year’s experience in current rail, metro, or major infrastructure projects in Sydney
· Proven experience in engineering change management and/or configuration management
· Experience with safety-critical systems highly regarded
· Strong knowledge of RAMS and relevant EN/IEC rail standards
· Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
· Highly organised, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
· Ability to work effectively in complex, multidisciplinary environments
