My client is a leading hotelier in the Middle East. They are looking for an outstanding Director to support their current portfolio and expansion.
Portfolio Operational Oversight
*Provide executive operational oversight of all Hotels and Leisure assets
*Ensure operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and service standards are maintained across the portfolio
*Align day-to-day operations with the strategic asset direction set jointly with Asset Management
*Identify operational risks, inefficiencies, or structural issues impacting performance
Financial Review & Performance Management
*Review the financial performance of the portfolio, Leisure assets, in collaboration with Asset Management and the CFO
*Drive cost discipline while protecting service quality and brand integrity
*Ensure alignment between operational execution and approved business plans and budgets
Underperformance Identification & Cross-Functional Escalation
*Proactively flag underperformance, structural issues, or emerging risks requiring strategic intervention
*Engage Commercial, Operations, Finance, and HR functions to diagnose and address performance gaps
*Ensure timely implementation of turnaround plans where necessary
*Provide structured performance reporting to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team
Transformation & Strategic Input
*Identify where transformation is required and provide structured recommendations to Asset Management
*Maintain executive oversight of transformation initiatives
*Work with Development Management to ensure transformation projects are operationally viable and commercially sound
*Ensure operational readiness and performance stabilization post-implementation
Development & Project Oversight (Operational Interface)
*Collaborate with Development Management during repositioning, refurbishment, or enhancement projects
*Ensure CAPEX investments translate into measurable operational and financial improvements
*Validate that new initiatives are operationally executable and aligned with asset strategy
*Support pre-opening or major repositioning efforts from an operational governance perspective
Leadership & Governance
*Lead and align operational leadership teams across the Self-Operated portfolio
*Work closely with People & Culture to ensure workforce planning
