We are recruiting for a client operating in the financial markets sector, supporting trading activity and investment flows across multiple regions. The environment is fast-moving and detail-focused, with a strong emphasis on accurate reporting and financial control.

The role:
This is an opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to step into a role with strong exposure to financial reporting and control. You will play a key role in month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting, while working within a multi-entity and multi-currency environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparing and posting month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and validating financial data
• Preparing management accounts and consolidation packs
• Supporting VAT, corporation tax, and statutory reporting
• Assisting with audit processes and external auditor requests
• Maintaining process documentation and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Supporting cashflow reporting and ad hoc finance projects

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with 2-5 years PQE
• Advanced Excel skills (complex models, power query, large data handling)
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency environments advantageous
• Experience with Business Central desirable
