Hardware Engineer

I have partnered with a fast-growing technology company that delivers innovative point-of-sale (POS) and hardware solutions to businesses globally. They are looking for a Hardware Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of their hardware products, including tablets and POS devices.

This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to work closely with hardware, software, and product teams, contributing directly to product excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive quality testing of tablets and POS devices to identify defects, performance issues, and inconsistencies.
• Evaluate hardware performance under simulated real-world operating conditions, assessing durability, functionality, and user experience.
• Identify, document, and track issues through clear and detailed bug reports, collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams to drive resolution.
• Provide recommendations to improve hardware design, functionality, and overall user experience based on testing outcomes and industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, supply chain, and operations teams to deliver high-quality, reliable hardware solutions.
• Support the development and testing of custom hardware solutions that integrate seamlessly with software platforms.
• Partner with procurement teams to technically evaluate vendors, review sample devices, and perform comparative analysis.
• Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, procedures, results, and findings, producing regular quality and performance reports.
• Ensure hardware reliability and compliance with relevant industry standards.
• Support field operations by assisting with hardware-related production incidents and troubleshooting.
• Manage and maintain the hardware testing lab, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly maintained and up to date.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in hardware testing, quality assurance, or related engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of hardware testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Awareness of industry trends with the ability to anticipate future hardware requirements.
