Head of Design – Relocation to Bali

Salt Search has partnered with a sustainable fashion brand that uses eco-friendly materials and ethical production practices to craft women’s wear designed to inspire, empower, and celebrate the diverse female form. They are experiencing hyper growth with their in-store retail presence in Bali and a global e-commerce community.

They are seeking a Head of Design to lead its Design function from a strategic and commercial perspective. This is an exciting opportunity to relocate from Australia to Bali and shape not only what the collections look like – but how they are executed, costed, scaled and delivered.

The Opportunity

You will:

• Lead and structure the Design department
• Own line planning, SKU strategy and margin alignment
• Drive sustainable fabric sourcing strategy
• Oversee critical path and product timelines
• Partner with Finance, Buying and Supply Chain
• Act as technical authority on fit, construction and quality
• Develop and mentor the design team (3 direct reports)

About You

You likely bring:

• 7+ years experience in the fashion industry
• 2+ years in a Design Manager / Head of Design capacity
• Strong garment construction and technical expertise
• Proven sourcing and supplier negotiation experience
• Clear commercial acumen (margins, MOQs, timelines)
• Experience scaling product in an eCommerce or premium brand environment
• Alignment with sustainability and purpose-led brands
• Relocation to Bali is required (full-time, on-site role).
