Junior Platform Engineer

Our client’s platforms support a complex, global energy trading ecosystem, with products, teams and infrastructure spread across regions and environments.

We’re looking for a Jr. Platform Engineer to help keep that ecosystem running while also rethinking how they operate.

You’ll work across cloud and on-premise infrastructure, deployments, troubleshooting, monitoring and observability, helping teams diagnose issues and keep critical applications running.

But we also want to change how some of this work gets done.

Where AI comes in

Our client is exploring how AI and agents can help Operations work smarter, from troubleshooting and root-cause analysis to alerts, deployments and supporting developers.

You’ll help turn that vision into something practical: implementing, customising and optimising AI capabilities that reduce manual work and benefit the wider team, rather than creating another isolated tool.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have a strong foundation in Linux/Windows, cloud infrastructure, networking, virtualisation and containerisation, with hands-on experience or understanding of Kubernetes and Terraform. AWS is the main cloud environment, with Azure also relevant.

You don’t need to be an AI/ML engineer. What matters is that you’re genuinely curious about AI, passionate about technology and always looking for a better way to solve a problem.

You’ll also be comfortable troubleshooting, working across teams and getting stuck into problems where the answer isn’t immediately obvious.
