Salt is seeking an experienced and strategic Lead Sales Manager to lead and optimize the systems, processes, and analytics that enable a high-performing field sales organization across the APAC region.
In this role, you will manage a team of Market Managers, driving customer acquisition performance, operational excellence, and scalable growth. You’ll partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement data-driven strategies, improve sales effectiveness and build the operational foundations needed to support continued expansion.
This is a contract position based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Strategy
- Design, build, and continuously optimize the sales acquisition engine, including lead generation strategies, sales playbooks, pipeline management, and conversion tracking.
- Develop scalable operating processes that improve productivity, efficiency, and sales effectiveness across markets.
- Identify growth opportunities and implement initiatives to improve acquisition performance.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Market Managers across multiple APAC markets.
- Set clear performance goals, KPIs, and accountability frameworks to drive consistent execution.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and results-oriented sales culture.
Data & Analytics
- Analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide visibility into pipeline health, conversion rates, and team performance.
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners.
Process & Tools
- Own and continuously improve CRM systems, reporting cadence, sales tooling, and operational workflows.
- Standardize best practices to enable efficient execution and scalability across regions.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Onboarding, and other internal stakeholders to ensure the sales team has the resources, messaging, and support needed to successfully acquire and onboard partners.
- Align regional execution with broader business priorities and strategic initiatives.
Market Insights
- Gather and synthesize insights from local markets to inform regional sales strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
- Provide structured feedback to internal teams to improve products, processes, and go-to-market strategies.
Onboarding Excellence
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality onboarding experience for newly acquired partners across all markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline onboarding processes and accelerate partner success
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in sales leadership, sales operations, or business operations, preferably within a marketplace, platform, SaaS, or other high-growth technology environment.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing field sales teams across multiple markets or regions.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience using data to drive business decisions, optimize sales performance, and influence strategy.
- Experience working with CRM platforms (such as Salesforce or HubSpot) and business intelligence/reporting tools is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of sales operations, including pipeline management, territory planning, forecasting, conversion optimization, and performance management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and align diverse priorities.
- Highly adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Strong understanding of APAC market dynamics and experience working across diverse cultures and geographies.
- Experience working with marketplaces, service providers, small businesses, independent professionals, or the gig economy is advantageous.
- Based in the APAC region with the ability to travel to key markets as required.
