📍 Location: Munich, Germany (2-3 days onsite per week)
💰 Salary: €130,000 – €155,000
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Design Engineer to support and evolve a global LAN/WAN and wireless network environment. This is a hands-on, high-impact technical role where you will take ownership of network design, performance, and reliability across multinational operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available and resilient network solutions
- Lead wireless network design, including coverage planning and signal optimisation
- Support office moves, upgrades, and renewals using standardised network designs
- Perform root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting
- Collaborate with vendors on hardware lifecycle management and roadmaps
- Evaluate Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and technical capabilities
- Monitor network availability and drive elimination of recurring incidents
Technical Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in developing Low-Level Designs (LLDs)
- Proven background in end-to-end implementation, from design through to deployment and optimisation
- Deep technical expertise across core network domains:
- Extensive experience working with leading vendors and platforms:
- Aruba (wireless design, deployment, and standardisation)
- Arista / VeloCloud (SD-WAN solutions)
- Fortinet (network security and firewall technologies)
- Zscaler (cloud security and secure access solutions)
- Strong understanding of high-availability network design, resiliency, and performance optimisation
- Experience producing clear, structured technical documentation suitable for global teams and operational handover
