We’re partnering with a large, well-established Australian organisation seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Platform Administrator to join their enterprise technology team on an initial 3-month contract.
This is a hands-on infrastructure and platform administration role, ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining critical enterprise applications, driving platform stability, and supporting complex production environments.
You’ll work alongside experienced infrastructure, database and application teams to ensure the ongoing performance, security and reliability of a business-critical PeopleSoft platform.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the administration, maintenance and optimisation of a complex PeopleSoft environment across multiple production and non-production instances.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering PeopleSoft application and web servers, Process Scheduler and PeopleTools components
- Managing platform patching, upgrades and vulnerability remediation
- Supporting environment refreshes, cloning activities and configuration management
- Coordinating deployments and release activities using enterprise change management tools
- Monitoring and troubleshooting batch processing and integrations
- Working closely with infrastructure and database teams to maintain platform performance and availability
- Providing technical advice and support to delivery teams during project and BAU initiatives
- Assisting with disaster recovery planning, testing and service restoration activities
- Developing technical documentation and recommending platform improvements
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years experience administering enterprise PeopleSoft environments
- Strong expertise across PeopleTools administration
Experience with:
- Application Servers
- Web Servers
- Process Scheduler
- Change Assistant
- Application Designer
- Data Mover
- Query Manager
- Experience supporting Oracle databases and Unix/Linux environments
- Exposure to cloud-hosted infrastructure (AWS highly regarded)
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Experience working within enterprise ITIL environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams
