Product Manager – Payments, Embedded Finance & Banking APIs

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap and delivery of several business-critical initiatives. Working closely with Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk and senior leadership, you’ll drive innovative products that enhance the client experience while meeting the highest regulatory and security standards.

This is a highly visible role with significant ownership and the opportunity to influence the future direction of a rapidly growing financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for payments, digital enablement and embedded finance initiatives.
• Lead the development of next-generation payment capabilities, including cross-border payments, multi-currency solutions and emerging payment technologies.
• Drive the design and delivery of API products and Banking-as-a-Service capabilities for enterprise clients, fintechs and strategic partners.
• Define product requirements, user journeys, acceptance criteria and delivery priorities in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Identify new embedded finance opportunities across institutional banking, treasury and financial infrastructure.
• Help design a seamless digital onboarding experience that balances exceptional customer experience with regulatory compliance.
• Champion the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities across onboarding, compliance, fraud prevention and operational efficiency.
• Build strong relationships across Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal and Commercial teams.
• Develop business cases, measure product performance and continuously optimise products using customer feedback and data.
• Manage third-party technology partners and ensure successful product delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• 8-12 years’ experience in Product Management within banking, fintech or payments.
• Proven experience delivering complex digital products in a regulated financial environment.
• Strong understanding of payment ecosystems including SWIFT, SEPA, ISO 20022 and modern payment infrastructure.
• Experience with APIs, Open Banking, Banking-as-a-Service or embedded finance platforms.
• Knowledge of digital onboarding, KYC, AML and financial crime processes.
• Experience working closely with software engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to prioritise opportunities based on customer value and business impact.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience within digital banks, challenger banks or fintech organisations.
• Knowledge of stablecoins, tokenised assets or emerging payment technologies.
• Exposure to AI applications within financial services.
• Experience working with institutional or corporate banking clients.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as ADGM, FSRA, FCA, DFSA or MAS.
