Technical Product Manager | Payment Integrations

The role
You’ll take full ownership of a payment integrations platform – covering APIs, integrations with external partners, and the overall developer experience for merchants.
This is a highly technical product role where you’ll:
- Define how integrations are built, maintained, and scaled
- Work closely with engineering on architecture and system design decisions
- Own the quality, performance, and reliability of the platform
- Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements
- Improve how quickly and easily new clients can integrate
You won’t be operating at a high level only – this role requires someone comfortable in the detail, working hands-on with APIs, logs, and system behaviour.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning the roadmap and technical direction of the integrations platform
- Defining API standards, versioning, and developer experience
- Analysing system performance, failures, and integration issues
- Driving improvements in uptime, latency, and transaction success rates
- Writing clear technical specs (API contracts, flows, data structures)
- Leading delivery across the full integration lifecycle
- Managing relationships with external payment and technology partners
- Supporting commercial teams with integration feasibility and timelines
What they’re looking for
- Strong experience in technical product management (5+ years)
- Proven background working with APIs and system integrations
- Experience in payments / fintech / transaction-based platforms
- Ability to work closely with engineers on technical design and architecture
- Comfortable writing detailed technical requirements and specifications
- Strong understanding of system reliability, performance, and scalability
- Exposure to developer tools, logs, and data analysis (SQL beneficial)
