We’re seeking a Realtime Graphics Developer to design and build high-quality real-time visual effects, prototypes, and creative tools. This role supports a major global technology company known for its premium hardware, software, and services ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on design, performance, and imaginative storytelling.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with designers, producers, creative directors, and engineers to concept, implement, and refine Metal-based visual effects used across applications and frameworks. This includes translating visual direction, look-dev explorations, and references into performant, reusable rendering solutions that balance technical rigor with strong visual sensibility.
You should be deeply comfortable in modern rendering pipelines and able to shift easily between creative experimentation and low-level optimization. A solid understanding of ray tracing, ray marching, volumetric techniques, and 3D graphics fundamentals is essential. Experience with OpenGL, Vulkan, GLSL, or HLSL is helpful, and Metal expertise is ideal.
Success in this role requires both technical mastery and a sharp eye for visual detail-shaping the look and feel of real-time effects while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners.
Key Qualifications
- Extensive experience with real-time graphics and rendering pipelines
- Strong knowledge of Metal Shading Language (MSL) or equivalent shader languages (OpenGL/GLSL/HLSL/Vulkan)
- Deep understanding of ray tracing, ray marching, volumetric rendering, and real-time lighting models
- Proficiency in Objective-C or C++ (Swift a plus)
- Experience working within AppKit or UIKit environments
- Skilled in concurrent programming, debugging, and performance optimization
- Comfortable building shaders, pipelines, and tools used by non-engineering collaborators
- Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Strong communication skills and an ability to bridge creative and technical perspectives
- Familiarity with tools such as TouchDesigner, Houdini, or Reality Composer Pro
- Demonstrated success working in large-scale or cross-disciplinary content pipelines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Core Animation, Core Graphics, USD, or SceneKit
- Background building apps end-to-end on Apple platforms
