Within its technology division, the company acts as a major route-to-market and supply chain partner for global technology brands, offering a broad range of consumer, business, and enterprise technology products and services to retail and reseller customers. Operations are spread across Europe, North America, and Asia, supported by an integrated logistics and distribution network.
Regional Division Overview
The Nordic technology distribution business is part of a wider European network with multiple offices and distribution hubs.
- Around 200 employees in total, with approximately 50-60 within the Nordic sales organisation.
- Roughly 2,000 active customer and business accounts across various product lines.
- Representation of approximately 60 technology brands.
- Annual turnover of approximately £350 million (group level).
The business specialises in four primary technology areas:
- Enterprise Infrastructure – hardware and components supporting data centres and business-critical systems.
- Component Sales – business-grade components such as processors, storage devices, and network cards for integrators and OEMs.
- Security Solutions – hardware and software for enterprise security, including firewalls, antivirus, and network protection.
- Technical Services – configuration, installation, and support services that complement core product offerings.
Role Overview
As Sales Manager for the Nordic Region, you will oversee the regional sales team, reporting directly to the General Manager for the Nordics. You will manage a small team and a select group of key accounts, taking ownership of customer relationships and development.
The role focuses on driving growth through:
- Expanding vendor and product portfolios.
- Growing team capacity and capability.
- Increasing market penetration and regional presence.
You will collaborate closely with suppliers and partners to ensure that tactical and strategic goals are met. Comprehensive training and ongoing technical support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Sales Management
- Implement and maintain high operational standards across sales activities.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and metrics to identify and act on sales and margin opportunities.
- Lead by example in day-to-day management, promoting excellence and accountability.
- Embed best practice in pipeline management, sales planning, and opportunity tracking.
Business Planning & Targeting
- Ensure all sales team members work strategically, with defined business plans for their customer base.
- Use data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities and market performance.
- Develop and report on KPIs to measure sales attainment and productivity.
Compliance, Culture & Conduct
- Uphold ethical, legal, and compliant sales practices.
- Ensure staff receive appropriate training in company tools, responsibilities, and compliance.
- Promote an inclusive, fair, and respectful workplace culture.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in sales leadership, ideally within the IT or technology sector.
- Strong record of managing and motivating sales teams.
- Skilled in sales analysis, business planning, and strategic growth.
- Technical aptitude to understand and communicate technology solutions.
- Experience working in profit-driven environments with measurable performance outcomes.
