SAP Basis Consultant with GCP Migration Experience

Senior SAP Basis Contractor – (12 months Initial)

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to take ownership of designing, implementing, and managing complex SAP environments. In this role, you will serve as a key technical leader -working closely with clients, project teams, and architects to ensure robust, scalable SAP landscapes. You will provide strategic guidance, deliver advanced technical solutions, and support the growth of junior Basis team members through mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and optimization of SAP system landscapes with a focus on stability, scalability, and high availability.

• Develop and execute installation, upgrade, migration, and system refresh strategies while following best practices and minimizing downtime.

• Provide expert support for SAP Basis operations, including system monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.

• Collaborate with functional, development, and architecture teams to deliver integrated SAP solutions that align with business needs.

• Oversee SAP security administration, including user provisioning, authorization management, and compliance activities.

• Establish and maintain technical standards, documentation, and governance for SAP infrastructure and related processes.

• Stay current with SAP releases, emerging technologies, and industry advancements, advising on their relevance and impact.

• Participate in project planning, resource forecasting, and delivery oversight to ensure successful project execution.

• Mentor junior consultants and provide technical leadership across the Basis team.

• Support pre-sales initiatives by contributing to solution designs, proposals, and client presentations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Extensive hands-on experience in SAP Basis roles with proven success delivering large-scale or complex SAP projects.

• Deep understanding of SAP architecture, Basis administration principles, and multi-system landscapes.

• Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) migrations.

• Working proficiency with cloud environments (GCP and/or AWS) and hosting SAP systems in cloud infrastructures.

• Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver technologies and related components such as ECC, S/4HANA, BW/BI, CRM, and Solution Manager.

• Expertise in SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, and system copy/refresh procedures.

• Solid understanding of SAP integration technologies, including experience with tools like SAP PI/PO.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex technical challenges.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage priorities, guide teams, and meet delivery timelines.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• SAP Basis certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Professional – System Administration) are an advantage.
