SAP Finance Application Manager (SAP S/4HANA)

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Application Manager to take ownership of the SAP S/4HANA Finance application landscape. The role is responsible for the design, governance, delivery, and ongoing support of SAP Finance solutions across the enterprise.

This individual will act as the key point of accountability for SAP Finance applications, ensuring stability, scalability, and alignment to business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Finance Application Ownership

• Own and manage SAP S/4HANA Finance applications (FI/CO and related modules)
• Ensure end-to-end application lifecycle management (design, build, test, deploy, support)
• Maintain stability and performance of Finance systems in production environments

Solution Design & Architecture

• Define and govern SAP Finance solution design across FI, CO, AA, AP, AR, and reporting
• Ensure SAP standard-first design principles are applied consistently
• Drive solution architecture alignment across Finance and integrated modules

Application Governance & Delivery

• Act as Design Authority for Finance application changes and enhancements
• Review and approve functional specifications and solution designs
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and governance standards

Project & Implementation Leadership

• Lead SAP Finance application delivery within transformation programmes
• Oversee configuration, integration, data migration, testing, and cutover activities
• Manage functional teams and coordinate with system integrators and vendors

Integration & Systems Management

• Manage integration between SAP Finance and modules such as MM, SD, PS, and external systems
• Ensure accurate and efficient financial data flow across enterprise applications

Testing, Cutover & Support

• Oversee SIT, UAT, and regression testing cycles
• Lead cutover planning and go-live readiness
• Manage post-go-live support and hypercare activities

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with Finance leadership and business stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP Finance solutions
• Provide clear communication at executive and technical levels

Required Experience

• 10-15+ years SAP Finance experience (FI/CO focus)
• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance environments
• Proven experience in SAP Finance application management or solution architecture roles
• Experience leading full SAP implementation lifecycles
• Strong integration experience across SAP and non-SAP systems
• Experience in regulated, audit-driven, or large enterprise environments
