Our client is looking for a highly connected and impactful leader to own the heartbeat of their brand. This is a hybrid role that blends Community Architecture and Social Strategy. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary bridge between their product and users, cultivating a high-value community of creators while simultaneously managing the public narrative across company channels.
1. Community Architecture & Engagement (The Core)
-
Build the Ecosystem: Design, launch, and moderate community spaces (Discord, Circle, or private user groups) where power users-creators, producers, and strategists-can connect, learn, and share workflows.
-
Turn Users into Advocates: Identify passionate users and nurture them into brand ambassadors. Create feedback loops that bring their insights directly to the Product team.
-
Event & Activation Management: Lead digital and IRL community activations (webinars, AMA sessions, exclusive drops, and meetups at major conferences like VidSummit or SXSW).
-
The “First Responder”: Act as the authentic voice of the brand in comments and forums. Engage with culture, answer questions, and facilitate thoughtful, high-quality discussion.
2. Social Media Ownership
-
End-to-End Content Strategy: Own ideation, creation, and the publishing calendar across company channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, TikTok).
-
Executive Thought Leadership: Translate complex AI and technology concepts into compelling, shareable narratives that position the company as an industry visionary.
-
Trend Awareness & Agility: Stay on the pulse of platform trends, AI news, and shifts in the creator economy to ensure content is timely, relevant, and culturally resonant.
3. Media & Influencer Relations
-
Strategic Storytelling: Leverage relationships with top-tier media (e.g., Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Billboard, TechCrunch) to secure high-impact earned media placements.
-
Influencer Strategy: Identify and manage relationships with key creators who can authentically demonstrate the product’s value. Focus on long-term partnerships rather than one-off paid posts.
4. Strategic Growth & Analytics
-
Define Success: Establish clear KPIs for community health (retention, engagement) and social growth (reach, share of voice).
-
Report & Iterate: Deliver weekly reports with actionable insights-explaining what worked, what didn’t, and why the community is responding to specific topics.
Qualifications (Must Haves)
-
Community-First Mindset: You understand that an audience is who you talk to, but a community is who talks to each other-and you know how to facilitate that connection.
-
5+ Years of Experience: Community Management, Social Media Strategy, or Digital Communications, ideally in tech, SaaS, or the creator economy.
-
Deep Fluency in AI & Tech: Strong understanding of the generative AI landscape (LLMs, agents, platforms vs. wrappers) and the evolving balance between creativity and automation.
-
Community Platform Expertise: Proven experience building or managing a large Discord, Circle, or similar community, including architecture, moderation, and engagement loops.
-
Media & Influencer Network: Existing relationships within entertainment, music, or tech are a strong plus.
-
Creative Execution: Comfortable using tools like Figma, Canva, or CapCut to ship content quickly when needed.
-
Strategic & Scrappy: Able to plan long-term strategy while staying hands-on-jumping into comments, replies, and launches as needed.
