My client is seeking a Senior Data Governance Practitioner to support the design and implementation of enterprise data governance frameworks, operating models, policies, and best practices. The role involves working closely with DG offices, IT, data, risk, and compliance teams to drive governance adoption, improve data management maturity, and support end-to-end data lifecycle management.
Key responsibilities include advising on data classification, metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and data literacy initiatives, as well as supporting business stakeholders in solving data-related challenges through a governance-led approach.
Key Requirements:
* Strong experience in data governance consulting and setting up Data Governance offices
* Experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, or MDM programmes
* Strong stakeholder management and ability to drive governance adoption
* Good understanding of tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or SAP MDG
* Knowledge of metadata management, data cataloguing, and data lineage
* Familiarity with data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA)
* SQL knowledge required; Python and Snowflake are a plus
* Exposure to cloud governance tools (Azure Purview, AWS Glue, GCP Data Catalog) is advantageous
Experience with data engineering concepts, ETL, data modelling, and BI tools (Power BI or Tableau) is a plus.
