Senior Data Scientist (Healthcare)

Our client, a global leader in healthcare and marketing analytics, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support the operationalisation and migration of healthcare products to modern cloud platforms in Kuala Lumpur.

This role sits just below the Staff Data Scientist and offers the opportunity to influence product development, optimise predictive models and contribute to strategic decisions beyond implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the transition of existing data pipelines from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms
• Develop, maintain, and optimise predictive and analytical models for healthcare datasets
• Analyse data, identify trends, and provide insights that inform product development and feature enhancements
• Collaborate closely with Staff Data Scientist, software engineers, and production teams to ensure models are robust and production-ready
• Apply regulatory knowledge to ensure all data handling, modelling, and analytics comply with healthcare standards
• Proactively suggest improvements to products and data-driven solutions

What we are looking for:

• Solid experience in data science handling large datasets
• Strong programming skills in Python and Scala
• Experience with PySpark/Apache Spark and Kubernetes
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake
• Strong understanding of working with data in a regulated environment
