Senior QA Analyst

The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst partners with both business and technical teams across delivery initiatives, platform squads, value streams and BAU to shape testing approaches, define test coverage, and identify automation opportunities. The role involves designing and running functional tests, overseeing defect management, and working proactively with Developers, Business Analysts and stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and meet quality expectations.

As a subject matter expert in testing, the Senior QA Analyst provides guidance and advice to stakeholders, while supporting Project Managers, Scrum Masters and project teams with testing-related analysis, planning, estimation and delivery. The role also contributes to the broader QA practice through collaboration, knowledge sharing and mentoring of other QA team members.

Key Responsibilities:

· Define and maintain test approaches, plans and cases across projects, enhancements and BAU, executing both manual and automated testing throughout the delivery lifecycle.

· Embed quality early by contributing to solution design, defining acceptance criteria, identifying risks and prerequisites, and ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable and aligned to business needs.

· Own end-to-end defect processes, from identification through to resolution, while coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing, including execution, demonstrations and issue management.

· Provide QA estimates, status updates and summary reporting, supporting delivery across Agile and Waterfall environments with fit-for-purpose QA practices.

· Strengthen organisational QA capability through mentoring, collaboration and peer reviews, embedding QA into CI/CD pipelines, driving test automation opportunities, and supporting continuous improvement of QA standards and practices.

Skills and Experience:

· Strong background as a Senior Test Analyst with deep PeopleSoft experience, supported by relevant IT qualifications or equivalent experience, and a proven track record delivering large-scale, complex programs within enterprise or higher-education environments.

· Hands-on experience supporting major digital transformation initiatives, working across Agile and Waterfall delivery models, and contributing to application, infrastructure and platform implementations.

· Proficient with modern testing and defect management tools (e.g. Jira, TestRail), with solid SQL and data warehousing capability, API testing experience, and exposure to test automation frameworks such as Playwright.

· Well-rounded technical knowledge spanning applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, integrations, networks, and UX/UI, enabling effective collaboration with engineering and delivery teams.
