Overview
A leading technology organisation in the UAE is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to play a key role in a large-scale, greenfield ServiceNow implementation.
This is a hands-on technical position focused on delivering scalable, high-quality solutions across catalogue development, workflow automation, Employee Centre configuration, and integrations. You will work within a structured, enterprise environment alongside architecture and delivery teams to ensure best-practice implementation and long-term platform sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Catalogue & Forms:
- Design and build advanced catalogue items including dynamic forms, UI policies, and client scripts
- Develop reusable components and modular catalogue structures
- Implement role-based visibility and approval routing logic
- Optimise usability and performance across catalogue experiences
Workflow & Automation:
- Build and configure workflows using Flow Designer and scripted logic where required
- Implement approval chains, SLA policies, and escalation mechanisms
- Deliver automation across employee lifecycle processes (Joiner, Mover, Leaver)
- Ensure workflows are efficient, scalable, and non-blocking
Employee Centre / Portal:
- Configure Employee Centre using UI Builder
- Develop dynamic components, dashboards, and role-based user experiences
- Optimise search, navigation, and knowledge visibility
- Ensure configurations are upgrade-safe and aligned to platform standards
Security & Access Control:
- Configure ACLs and enforce role-based access control models
- Ensure least-privilege access and data protection across sensitive areas
- Validate and maintain compliance with security best practices
Integrations:
- Support integration development using REST APIs and IntegrationHub
- Transform and map data between systems
- Implement error handling and retry mechanisms
- Work closely with integration teams on complex system connectivity
Platform Quality & Performance:
- Apply best practices in scripting (e.g. GlideRecord)
- Maintain clean, scalable, and upgrade-safe configurations
- Support testing frameworks and platform governance
- Contribute to performance optimisation and troubleshooting
Delivery & Collaboration:
- Work within Agile delivery environments
- Contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and documentation
- Participate in code reviews and UAT support
- Assist in go-live, cutover, and hypercare phases
Experience Required:
- 6-10 years of ServiceNow development experience
- Strong track record in enterprise-level implementations
- Experience working in catalogue-heavy environments
- Hands-on expertise with Flow Designer and workflow automation
- Experience with Employee Centre / UI Builder
- Exposure to integration-heavy ServiceNow landscapes
- Strong experience with ACLs and platform security
- Experience in greenfield implementations is highly desirable
Technical Skills:
- Strong scripting capabilities (JavaScript, GlideRecord, Business Rules)
- Deep knowledge of Flow Designer and ServiceNow architecture
- Experience configuring portals and UI Builder
- Solid understanding of ServiceNow security models
- Experience working with REST APIs and integrations
- Strong debugging and performance optimisation skills
