Senior Studio Production Manager

We are hiring a Senior Studio Production Manager to oversee end-to-end studio operations for a large-scale, multi‑category retailer. The role is responsible for managing a team of 30+ across Photography, Retouching, and Studio Operations to ensure efficient, high-quality, and timely content delivery across multiple categories, including Fashion, Baby & Kids, and Home. A key focus of this position is leading the transformation of the studio toward an AI‑enabled future by designing workflows, “recipes,” and scalable processes for content creation.

Key Responsibilities

Studio Operations Management:

• Lead and manage end-to-end workflows across Studio Operations, Photography, and Retouching teams.
• Oversee smooth day-to-day studio functioning, including scheduling, resourcing, and operational planning.
• Build and maintain best-in-class studio infrastructure, equipment, and content management systems.

Content Production Excellence:

• Ensure adherence to turnaround time (TAT) SLAs from product intake to go-live.
• Drive consistent image quality standards across all categories, aligned with brand guidelines.
• Implement robust quality control processes to maintain creative and technical excellence.

Process Optimization & Efficiency:

• Identify and implement workflow efficiencies to reduce cost per product and increase throughput.
• Create, monitor, and manage production budgets with a focus on cost optimization.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Styling, Cataloguing, Merchandising, and Content.

AI Transformation Leadership:

• Develop processes, templates, and “recipes” for content production using AI tools and platforms.
• Strategically transition product categories from traditional production to AI-enabled workflows.
• Partner with Technology teams to design and implement systems and workflows that support AI-driven production.
• Stay current with AI trends and tools, integrating relevant solutions at scale.

Stakeholder & Team Management:

• Manage stakeholders across multiple brands, ensuring production outputs align with business goals.
• Provide clear leadership, direction, and coaching to diverse creative and operational teams.
• Partner with senior leadership to present strategic plans, studio performance, and transformation roadmaps.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of photography (lighting, equipment, studio build/maintenance).
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Capture One.
• Proven experience building and scaling large studio operations and CMS systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong capabilities in process creation, adherence, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability in budget creation, cost management, and efficiency tracking.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to present to leadership and influence decision-making.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of AI tools and trends, with practical understanding of implementing AI at scale in content production.

Required Skills:

• 8-12 years of experience in studio production management, ideally within multi-category retail or e‑commerce.
• Proven track record of driving process efficiencies and cost savings.
• Experience leading large, multi-disciplinary teams (photographers, retouchers, studio operations).
• Exposure to high-SKU, e-commerce or catalog-style production environments.

Good to Have Skills:

• Experience implementing AI-powered content creation tools, such as generative AI, virtual photography, AI image enhancement, or automated retouching workflows.
