Senior Test Analyst

We are working with a client that is expanding its regional services and technology centre in Malaysia, positioning it as a key hub supporting multiple markets across Asia. The organisation is investing heavily in long-term digital transformation initiatives, including major customer platform enhancements and core system modernisation projects running through 2029.

This expansion offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing team responsible for delivering high-quality technology solutions that support critical business operations across the region.

As a Senior Officer, Test Analyst, you will support core insurance systems and will play a key role in ensuring system quality and supporting major transformation initiatives, including transitioning testing capabilities from external vendors to internal teams. There will be plenty of opportunities to expand your exposure across multiple insurance functions over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and user stories using JIRA
• Prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases
• Execute manual testing (80%) and automation testing (20%)
• Log defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
• Retest fixes and ensure proper defect closure
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups and sprint planning
• Maintain accurate test documentation and traceability
• Deliver assigned tasks within agreed timelines and quality standards
• Prepare training materials and support knowledge sharing when required
• Collaborate closely with regional stakeholders (mostly in Hong Kong) through virtual discussions

Requirements

• Cantonese language capability (conversational proficiency required)
• Experience in software testing, with strong emphasis on manual testing
• Experience using JIRA for test management and defect tracking
• Experience in insurance or financial services environments strongly preferred
• Exposure to insurance domains such as new business, policy servicing, or claims is advantageous
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
