Join a leading experience consultancy that partners with organisations across Southeast Asia to solve complex business challenges through mixed-method research, strategy and experience design.

Our client works with organisations that often arrive with incomplete briefs, competing stakeholder priorities and ambiguous business challenges. They are looking for a Senior UX Researcher who can confidently navigate uncertainty, lead discovery, shape research programmes and translate insights into meaningful experience and business recommendations that influence decision-making.

You’ll be joining a highly respected UX practice where research is not treated as a box-ticking exercise. The work directly informs strategic decisions, service improvements, digital experiences and organisational transformation initiatives.

This role sits between strategy and execution. You’ll work closely with clients, senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand the real problem, determine the right research approach and guide projects from discovery through to actionable recommendations.

The ideal candidate is not simply a UX Researcher. You’re someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, working with ambiguity and influencing outcomes. You know how to identify the information that truly matters, select the right research methodology and confidently present recommendations that shape both user experiences and business strategy.

Expect a fast-paced consulting environment where every project is different. One week you may be facilitating stakeholder workshops and defining research plans, while the next you are conducting user research, synthesising insights and presenting recommendations directly to senior leaders.

The team values people who are naturally curious, proactive and commercially minded. You’ll be trusted to work independently, supported by experienced UX leaders and given the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of the practice.

Why Join?

  • Work on some of the most interesting and complex business challenges across Southeast Asia.
  • Partner directly with senior business leaders and decision-makers.
  • Influence strategy, services and digital experiences through research-led thinking.
  • Join a highly collaborative and mature UX practice that values curiosity, quality and continuous learning.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a remote-first work environment with occasional regional travel.
  • Build your reputation as a trusted advisor at the intersection of research, strategy and experience design.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading end-to-end UX research programmes across qualitative, quantitative and mixed-method approaches.
  • Working directly with clients to define problems, identify business objectives and align on success metrics.
  • Planning and executing discovery activities including stakeholder interviews, user research, usability testing, surveys, workshops and landscape research.
  • Translating research findings into clear experience recommendations, information architecture improvements, user journeys and service enhancements.
  • Presenting research findings and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, including C-level executives.
  • Influencing business decisions through evidence-based insights and user-centred thinking.
  • Mentoring junior researchers and designers while helping maintain a high standard of UX quality across projects.
  • Supporting the evolution of research practices, methodologies and ways of working within the team.

What We’re Looking For

You are someone who enjoys solving complex business problems rather than simply executing a predefined research process.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research.
  • A proven ability to design and execute multi-method research programmes.
  • Experience translating research insights into practical recommendations and experience design outcomes.
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and facilitating conversations at multiple levels of an organisation.
  • Strong presentation, storytelling and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working on complex digital products, services or transformation initiatives.
  • A naturally curious and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to work independently while navigating ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • A genuine passion for understanding people, behaviours and business challenges.
  • Previous experience within a consultancy, agency or client-facing environment would be highly regarded.

If you’re ready to solve complex business problems, influence meaningful decisions and help shape experiences for some of the region’s leading organisations, we’d love to hear from you.
