Regional Senior Vendor Manager – Europe

📍 Netherlands | Hybrid Working

Are you a commercially driven category, buying or vendor management professional looking to make a significant impact within a high-growth international eCommerce business?

We are partnering with a global leader in the health and wellness sector to appoint a Regional Senior Vendor Manager responsible for driving assortment growth, vendor partnerships and commercial performance across the European region.

This is a highly visible role with responsibility for identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements and building a market-leading product assortment tailored to European consumers.

The Opportunity

As Regional Senior Vendor Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the European assortment strategy and expanding the regional supplier network. Working closely with senior merchandising leadership and regional stakeholders, you will drive category growth through strategic sourcing, commercial negotiation, pricing optimisation and data-led decision making.

This role offers the opportunity to influence both regional and global business strategies while helping to accelerate growth across multiple European markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category and assortment strategies across the European region
  • Identify, evaluate and onboard high-potential brands and suppliers
  • Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships that support growth, innovation and profitability
  • Negotiate commercial agreements including pricing, rebates, marketing investment, promotional funding and volume commitments
  • Manage category performance through ownership of key commercial metrics including sales, margin, product mix and promotional effectiveness
  • Partner with regional leadership teams to ensure assortments meet local market requirements and customer expectations
  • Work closely with compliance and regulatory teams to ensure all products meet regional requirements and approval processes
  • Collaborate with planning and inventory teams to optimise forecasting, stock availability and inventory performance
  • Drive new product introductions and supplier onboarding activities
  • Support promotional planning and commercial campaigns in partnership with marketing teams
  • Analyse category, supplier and market performance data to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions
  • Mentor and support junior team members where required

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years’ experience within Category Management, Buying, Vendor Management or Commercial Leadership roles
  • Proven track record of negotiating commercial agreements and delivering profitable growth
  • Strong understanding of retail and eCommerce commercial drivers, pricing strategies and margin management
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and developing strategic vendor partnerships
  • Ability to source and onboard new brands and suppliers within complex commercial environments
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with merchandising, planning, compliance, operations and marketing teams
  • Pan-European commercial experience is highly desirable
  • Experience within health & wellness, supplements, beauty, FMCG, consumer goods, retail or eCommerce sectors would be advantageous

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with ERP, merchandising or analytics platforms
  • Exposure to systems such as SAP, Tableau, EDI, WMS, Asana or similar tools is advantageous
