Salt is thrilled to be partnering with a Global Major Retail Bank who are looking for an Obsolescence Delivery Lead (Programme Manager) to join them. You will be vital to making sure this bank is using the state-of-the-art technology across T&O infrastructure service operations on a constant basis.

This role is essential to ensuring risks associated with obsolete hardware & software components are well understood, reported and managed to limit associated risk to Bank-wide operations and capabilities.

• Providing technical expertise in the co-ordination, design and implementation of robust obsolescence management strategies and solutions, continuously developing obsolescence management capabilities to manage the associated risk and fulfil the strategy and services for this bank.
• Demonstrating a high level of IT technical knowledge & experience including architectural concepts, design and implementation approaches.
• Coordinating and facilitating application/asset owners to ensure obsolescence management strategies are leveraged and prioritised within the various product and service lines of the business.
• Providing subject matter expertise and ability to articulate technical discussions and concepts to the senior management team in relation to obsolescence.

• Identify and determine the obsolescence risk and remediation requirement using data analytics
• Conduct discovery workshop to determine the compatibility & dependencies, remediation strategy
• Develop asset level migration solution along with CIO & infra delivery team and interlocking the scope of testing with the application teams or other stakeholder teams

Ideal Experience

• Hands-on experience installing, configuring and tuning any type of infrastructure technology (can be past experience but ideally that needs to be there)
• Experience in either data centre migration or large scale could migration project which includes strategy development, planning and actual execution of those migrations
• Understanding of how OpenShift, container technology like docker works
• Previous experience in a Project Management role related to remediation of obsolescence.
