We are partnering with a high-growth technology company operating at the intersection of AI, SaaS, and the creator economy. As the business prepares to define and lead a new category, they are seeking a Vice President of Marketing to build and scale a world-class marketing engine from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to write the marketing playbook for a platform shaping the future of creative work. The VP of Marketing will own the entire marketing funnel, from brand and acquisition through activation, engagement, and retention, and will play a critical role in establishing long-term market leadership.

The Role

As VP of Marketing, you will serve as the strategic architect behind brand, growth, and go-to-market execution. You will transform marketing from a collection of channels into a cohesive, data-driven system that attracts, activates, and retains a global audience of creators, media companies, and digital-first businesses. This role requires a balance of vision and execution: someone who can define strategy at the highest level while also rolling up their sleeves to build the systems, teams, and processes needed to scale.

Key Responsibilities

Build the Marketing Engine

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that establishes the platform as a category leader.
  • Own the full marketing funnel, from awareness and acquisition through activation, retention, and advocacy.
  • Design scalable systems that convert interest into long-term customer value.

Product Marketing & Positioning

  • Define and communicate clear, compelling value propositions that resonate with target audiences.
  • Translate complex product capabilities into simple, differentiated messaging.
  • Partner closely with Product and Leadership to align roadmap, positioning, and market narrative.

Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end go-to-market strategy for new products and major feature launches.
  • Ensure messaging, campaigns, and activation flows guide users to early value (“aha” moments).
  • Create clear upgrade paths and expansion narratives that support long-term growth.

Organic Growth & Community Marketing

  • Build and scale organic acquisition channels, including content, community, partnerships, and advocacy.
  • Foster an engaged user ecosystem that drives retention, brand affinity, and word-of-mouth growth.
  • Ensure brand voice and community engagement remain authentic, creator-first, and culturally relevant.

Digital & Performance Marketing

  • Own the full digital marketing ecosystem, including paid media, performance marketing, SEO, and lifecycle automation.
  • Drive experimentation and optimization across channels to maximize reach, conversion, and ROI.
  • Ensure alignment between performance marketing and broader brand strategy.

Data, Measurement & Optimization

  • Establish a culture of measurement, experimentation, and accountability across the marketing organization.
  • Use analytics and insights to inform strategy, optimize spend, and improve funnel performance.
  • Clearly define success metrics and report impact to executive stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary marketing team.
  • Build a culture of creativity, excellence, and ownership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Leadership.

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Leadership

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role at a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Strong background in B2C or prosumer products; experience in creator-focused or community-driven platforms is a major plus.

Growth & Product Marketing Expertise

  • Proven success building and scaling organic acquisition channels from the ground up.
  • Deep experience in product-led growth environments, with measurable impact on activation, engagement, and retention.
  • Exceptional storytelling and positioning skills, with the ability to define and own category narratives.

Data & Technology Fluency

  • Highly data-driven, with strong command of marketing analytics and performance measurement.
  • Hands-on experience with modern marketing technology stacks, including CRM, marketing automation, and SEO tooling.

Leadership & Mindset

  • Inspirational, collaborative leader with strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Bias toward action, ownership, and building from first principles.
