Experience Designer (Web) – 12 Month FTC
We’re partnering with a global SaaS organisation to find an Experience Designer to join their APAC web team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering parental leave.
This role sits at the heart of a large, high-traffic enterprise website and plays a key role in shaping how the brand shows up across APAC markets. You’ll work closely with marketing, product, and web production teams to design best-in-class web experiences that are consistent, scalable, and user-focused.
The Role
This is a true experience design role. You’ll be the custodian of how the brand is expressed across regional web pages, working within a mature design system and component library.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing wireframes, mock-ups, and page layouts for APAC web content
- Working primarily in Figma to create build-ready designs for web producers
- Advising stakeholders on UX best practice, brand guidelines, and component usage
- Partnering closely with marketing and product teams to guide how messages are presented
- Supporting asset optimisation, localisation, and A/B testing initiatives
- Managing work through Jira in a high-volume, stakeholder-driven environment
- Collaborating with global design and web teams across multiple regions
About You
You’re a confident, pragmatic designer who’s comfortable working in complex environments and guiding stakeholders – not just taking orders.
You’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in web or UX design
- Strong Figma skills (this is essential – there’s no time to train on tools)
- Experience working within structured design systems
- Solid UX foundations and the ability to explain design decisions clearly
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to push back when needed
- Experience in enterprise, corporate, or SaaS environments (highly regarded)
- In-house experience is a strong plus; agency backgrounds also welcome
- Experience with Creative Cloud tools
- English fluency required; additional APAC languages are a bonus
The Team & Environment
- APAC web team of ~14 people, primarily web producers and project leads
- Close collaboration with global counterparts in other regions
- Supportive, well-established design network locally and globally
- Busy periods around campaigns and launches, but no expectation of excessive hours or weekends
Location & Working Arrangement
- Sydney-based
- Hybrid model: 2 days per week in the office (currently Wednesday & Thursday)
- Flexible start and finish times
- One regular global team call outside standard hours (with flexibility to balance this)
Contract Details
- 12-month fixed-term contract
- Fixed start date in early March
- January interviews
