We are looking for a dynamic person to perform the role of Agile Lead/Project Manager. The person fulfilling this role will play an important role in the team by managing the day to day operations of the engineering team and playing a role in developing and improving the way the team works internally and with other teams.
Key responsibilities
o Facilitation of team meetings, including stand ups, sprint reviews, grooming and planning meetings
o Removal of blockers to the team fulfilling their sprint goals
o Communication of opportunities, blockers, and problems that need to be solved
o Management and quality assurance of the sprint backlog
o Protection of the engineering team from undue interference from external stakeholders
o Identification and implementation of initiatives to improve the way in which the engineering team works, as well as communicates with other teams
o Looks after the culture of the team, ensuring that the team continues to work effectively together
o Assistance in team management, leave scheduling and team communications to the larger team
o Assistance in the management of releases, especially of smaller features and bugs
Desired Skills and Experience
o Tertiary Degree in Commerce, IT, Engineering or similar
o 3-5 years as Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager
o Experience in an Agile Development Environment
o Strong communicator
o Great facilitator
o High degree of computer literacy
