About the role We are looking for a high-impact Account Director to join our growing US team, for our award-winning creative agency based in the UK. This is a hands-on role to be the day-to-day lead for our US clients – owning client relationships, driving account growth, and ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery for our award-winning creative agency. We are looking for an omnichannel account hybrid with experience working directly with global brands and a nimble creative team. The role is based in our NYC satellite, a team who are situated at BBDO Worldwide but work for the UK-based agency AMV BBDO. We are open to considering a pro-rata work arrangement (3-4 days per week) for the right candidate, as well as full-time candidates. Account/Client We partner with the world’s most iconic consumer and B2B brands, crafting through-the-line creative that connects with modern audiences. Our US portfolio includes major B2B tech (Google Ads, YouTube Ads) and consumer staples (Jack Daniels, Aveeno), delivered in partnership with the BBDO network (NYC and Chicago). This role will be particularly focused on content for Google Ads Marketing – including thought-leadership, film, events and sales collateral – and social delivery for BBDO consumer staples. Responsibilities ● Client services ○ Act as a strategic partner to clients, interrogating briefs, navigating business challenges, and leading on relationships, expectations and quality output ○ Confidently make recommendations and decisions in fast-moving client work ○ Own projects end-to-end, from initial brief and commercial scoping through to delivery, project management, resource planning, billing and post-campaign evaluation ○ Be the linchpin between the creative team and client across workstreams (and across time zones: US<>UK handover) ○ Ensure all creative deliverables comply with legal, regulatory, and usage rights requirements ○ Manage senior client contacts, ensure regular client face-to-face meets, and ensure that the management team are kept abreast of their upcoming plans ○ Identify new business opportunities to help grow the business ○ Strong presentation skills, specifically pitching content, managing status calls, and social ideas ● Creative ○ Partner closely with creative teams to shape, elevate, and protect big creative ideas from brief to final execution ○ Interrogate creative against client business objectives and audience insights before work goes into presentation, ensuring it is strictly on-brief ○ Champion creative, using your client knowledge base to help identify and overcome any challenges with the work ○ Skillfully navigate client feedback to refine ideas to ensure optimum creative output ○ Understand how to connect creative ideas across channels to make bigger and better campaigns ● Operations and team management ○ Ensure clear communication and co-operation cross-team, acting as the primary connector between client leads and UK production/creative teams ○ Ensure team is clear on briefs to deliver best-in-class creative, ○ Work with the Account and Project Management teams to ensure there is an understanding of each project’s scope-of-work, schedule and deliverables, and resourcing is allocated effectively for the whole account ○ Track resource and costs against each project and business objectives, including AI-powered ways to track burn rates and team hours ● Finance & scoping ○ Create accurate quotes and budgets for projects and ensure these are reconciled, working closely with the Business Director ○ Responsible for the profitability of each project, ensuring they are delivered on time and on-budget, identifying efficiencies across workstreams ○ Manage billing processes and vendor invoicing ○ Review and assess project retainers to ensure they are accurate and fair We are looking for someone who: ● Has experience with successful omnichannel campaigns for consumer and B2B audiences, leveraging strategic insights for maximum impact. ● Can drive a creative team to execute dynamic content that is on-brief and budget ● Possesses a proven track record of account growth, identifying and securing opportunities for expansion and increased revenue. ● Cultivates exceptional relationships to build trust, foster long-term executive client partnerships, and drive collaboration across the team. ● Is highly organized, structuring complex projects and documentation for efficiency and clarity – especially across timezones with a remote team. ● Has excellent time management, consistently prioritizing competing demands to meet all critical deadlines. ● Demonstrates expert proficiency in finances, ensuring profitability, accurate forecasting, and rigorous budget control. ● Has impeccable attention to detail, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy across all deliverables. ● Is a strong, collaborative team player who actively contributes to a positive, high energy, and high-achieving work culture. ● Thrives in a fast-paced environment, expertly navigating tight deadlines while maintaining composure and strategic focus. ● Financially savvy, ensuring project profitability and accurate forecasting What we’d also like to see: ● Proven track record in developing and executing multi-channel programs – spanning thought leadership platforms, long/short-form film, event experiences, social media and always-on content ecosystems ● Experience coordinating and leading shoots and managing complex, multi-asset deliverable schedules ● A forward-thinking, tech-curious mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for how emerging tools are reshaping agency workflows – actively seeking ways to leverage AI to supercharge efficiency, scale asset production, and unlock new creative possibilities ● An understanding of social media trends, metrics and best practice, translating data into actionable insights ● Familiarity with event activation, influencer marketing strategy and execution, and integrating these within broader digital ecosystems ● Understanding of paid social media advertising models and optimization techniques is a plus
