Accounts Payable Officer

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a busy and fast-paced finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership, thrives in a high-volume environment, and can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring suppliers are paid on time, resolving complex queries, supporting month-end activities, and contributing to finance process improvements and automation initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
Accounts Payable
- Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable function
- Investigate and resolve supplier, invoice, and purchase order queries
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure invoices are approved, coded, and processed correctly
- Prepare and process weekly, monthly, urgent, and international payment runs
- Monitor and manage a busy AP inbox
- Maintain compliance with company policies and internal controls
Month-End & Finance Support
- Complete account and clearing account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close activities
- Calculate and report on unprocessed supplier invoices
- Support Accounts Receivable activities as required
- Manage company credit card reconciliations
- Assist with finance administration, reporting, and ad hoc projects
Process Improvement
- Contribute to finance process improvement and automation initiatives
- Support the implementation of more efficient ways of working across the business
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
- Strong invoice processing and payment run experience
- Experience with supplier reconciliations and month-end activities
- Ability to investigate and resolve complex account queries
- Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to both AP and AR functions is advantageous
