Agribusiness Manager
Location: Rockhampton
Work Type: Full time, Permanent, Hybrid
Salary: Up to $175k basic (incl. super) + 20% bonus
Desired Experience:
- The role holder is expected to be an experienced agribusiness banker with a relevant degree, and may also hold a post-graduate professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA or CIB.
- They will typically have around 4-8 years’ experience in agribusiness banking and/or credit assessment, with several years focused specifically on the agribusiness segment.
- This experience will include a strong understanding of agribusiness and farm management practices, AgFS products and services, and a solid track record in credit assessment, risk management and control.
Duties:

Evaluate the economic value and risk profile of new business opportunities.

Maintain and improve the credit quality and profitability of the portfolio.

Sales – Deliver targeted, competitive and growth-focused sales and income initiatives, and promote tailored banking products and services within bank guidelines.

Foster and enhance professional excellence through effective management of individual and team performance.

Execute annual business plans for the assigned customer portfolio.

Develop and manage a personal portfolio of key AgFS customers and referral partners.

Identify new business and referral opportunities, and build, develop and leverage internal and external networks to support achievement of income targets.

Approve AgFS lending within delegated personal lending authorities.

Prepare and submit business lending proposals beyond personal authorities for approval, providing clear justification and supporting analysis, including relevant industry and business information.

Lead, mentor and coach Agribusiness Analysts.

Demonstrate professional and ethical conduct by complying with external legislation, bank standards and internal policies and procedures.

Ensure all personal training records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.

Coach, monitor and supervise direct reports to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles compliantly, meeting FSRA requirements and external legislation in a professional and ethical manner.

Adhere to all internal operating procedures relevant to the role.
