Android Engineer

Salt is currently hiring an Android Developer for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

There is 2 roles, one paying 100 euros an hour and another paying 118 euros an hour – kvk/zzp. 12 month project.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with Android, iOS, backend, product, UX, and QA teams.
• Own technical decisions, architecture, and design documentation.
• Ensure application quality, reliability, and performance in production.
• Write and maintain unit, UI, and screenshot tests.
• Profile and optimize application performance.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical improvements.
• Translate product and business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Strong production experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Deep knowledge of Coroutines and Flow.
• Experience with MVVM/MVI, ViewModel, Navigation, Hilt/Dagger.
• Strong testing experience, including Compose/Espresso and screenshot testing.
• Experience with multi-module Gradle projects and API integration.
• Experience with Android performance tools such as Profiler, Baseline Profiles, and Macrobenchmark.
• Good understanding of A/B testing and release processes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent professional English.
