Data & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We are searching for a high-caliber Data & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for a client at the forefront of data-driven innovation. This is a comprehensive “end-to-end” role, architecting systems from initial data source configuration through to the integration of sophisticated analytical tools.

The Opportunity
This is a pivotal role for a generalist Data Engineer who excels in AWS-native environments. You will be responsible for building scalable, resilient architectures that align with global security and compliance standards, ensuring the integrity of the entire data flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture: Design and implement high-availability AWS solutions, focusing on scalability, disaster recovery, and governance
• Application & Integration: Develop serverless applications and manage containerized environments (ECS/Fargate), integrating complex event-driven architectures
• Automation (IaC): Maintain infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CDK, implementing GitOps workflows via GitHub Actions
• Data Engineering: Manage the full data lifecycle using AWS Glue (PySpark), S3, Lambda, and Athena
• Security & Compliance: Implement robust cloud security controls (IAM, encryption) to meet international standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering (Honours preferred)
• Certification: AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect is highly desirable
• Experience: 5+ years in Data Engineering, specifically within the AWS ecosystem
• Stack: Expert Python (PySpark), SQL, and NoSQL (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) skills
• Standards: Experience in regulated environments (ISO, CE, or FDA) is a distinct advantage
