This new Business Development Manager role is focused on delivering high-impact solutions that drive growth, transformation, and long term value for clients.
The BDM plays a critical role in expanding the client’s market presence by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities aligned with strategic priorities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring consistent conversion to revenue
- Collaborate with consulting teams to shape compelling proposals, bids, and presentations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Attending regular industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
- Achieve or exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
- Contribute to broader business development strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
Experience
- Proven track record in business development/sales with a background in the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close deals, and achieve revenue targets
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Experience managing stakeholder relationships at multiple levels
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven mindset
- Confident negotiator who is compliance savvy with the ability to translate regulatory requirements.
