We are looking for an ambitious, commercially savvy Business Development Manager to drive national growth opportunities across New Zealand’s food service sector. You will be motivated to identify new opportunities, open doors with major customer groups, build strategic partnerships, and create commercial growth across a portfolio of leading food service customers.

This is a highly visible role where you will:
- Lead national business development strategies and growth initiatives
- Identify and convert new business opportunities across food service channels
- Build strategic partnerships with large multi-site customer groups
- Drive senior-level customer engagement and Top-to-Top relationships
- Lead tenders, commercial proposals, negotiations and contract renewals
- Develop Joint Business Plans that deliver measurable growth outcomes
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Category teams
- Use data, insights and market intelligence to unlock new opportunities and create winning solutions
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will bring a genuine business development mindset.
- 5+ years commercial experience within Out-of-Home, Food Service or Hospitality channels
- Strong business development and key account management background
- Demonstrated success in winning new business, growing revenue and delivering profitability targets
- Experience leading commercial negotiations, tenders and strategic customer partnerships, ideally in the FMCG industry
- Strong analytical capability and confidence using data to develop commercially sound strategies
- Knowledge of distributor and food service channel dynamics with exposure to national contracts and large customer networks
