Business Development Representative (BDR) (Cape Town)
Salary: R400,000 – R700,000 per annum
Overview
We are looking for a driven Business Development Representative to generate demand, qualify leads, and support revenue growth within a defined territory or market segment. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, engaging prospects, and contributing to a high-performing sales pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate demand through outbound prospecting, events, and targeted campaigns
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, and social channels
- Identify, qualify, and route leads to the appropriate sales representatives
- Research target organisations and engage key decision-makers
- Maintain accurate prospecting activity records in CRM (Salesforce)
- Collaborate with sales teams to refine lead generation strategies
- Plan and host events for prospective partners across South Africa
Success Metrics
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas
- Deliver high-quality, sales-ready opportunities to Account Executives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM data
- Drive growth in active and potential partner pipeline

Experience
- Proven outbound sales or business development experience
- Experience with multi-channel lead generation strategies
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- SaaS experience is advantageous but not essential
- Strong analytical ability to optimise lead generation performance
