Company & Job Overview

Salt are recruiting for an experienced Change Manager to join a high-performing technology and security program delivering critical initiatives within a secure environment. This is a hands-on role supporting the successful implementation of system and process changes across a complex, fast-paced delivery landscape.

Working closely with project managers, technical teams, and operational stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring change initiatives are effectively coordinated, communicated, and embedded into business-as-usual with minimal disruption.

This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension, based in Melbourne with a hybrid working model. Due to the nature of the role, an NV1 security clearance is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end delivery of change initiatives across technology and operational programs
  • Partner with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to coordinate change and implementation activities
  • Conduct impact assessments, develop implementation plans, and track readiness across impacted teams
  • Deliver clear and practical communication to prepare operational teams for upcoming changes
  • Develop high-quality training materials, including user guides and process documentation, and facilitate training sessions and briefings
  • Identify risks and impacts, contributing to mitigation strategies and escalation where required
  • Monitor adoption and ensure successful transition of changes into business-as-usual processes
  • Maintain change documentation and artefacts in line with program governance and standards

Key Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in change management or project delivery roles supporting technology and system or process implementations
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver structured change outcomes
  • Hands-on experience across core change activities including impact assessments, implementation planning, readiness tracking, and training delivery
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly training and guidance
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in secure or controlled delivery environments
  • Exposure to telecommunications or large-scale operational environments
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar workflow platforms
  • Formal change management certification (e.g. Prosci, ACMP) or equivalent experience
