Client Acquisition Specialist

A fast-growing South African fintech company is looking for a Client Acquisition Specialist to join its high-impact commercial team. This is a business development role focused on sourcing and onboarding high-value clients who can benefit from innovative financial solutions.

Role Overview

As a Client Acquisition Specialist, you’ll be the first point of contact for potential clients. Your mission is to identify, qualify, and convert leads into active users of the company’s financial tools. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue growth by opening new opportunities, pitching value-driven solutions, and ensuring clients are onboarded quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate leads through outreach, networking, and market mapping.
  • Qualify clients based on financial potential, industry fit, and strategic value.
  • Deliver compelling commercial pitches that highlight business impact.
  • Handle objections confidently and close deals efficiently.
  • Ensure new clients are fully onboarded and operational within tight timelines.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and report on acquisition metrics.
  • Provide market feedback to improve go-to-market strategies and messaging.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition.
  • Fintech experience is essential.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and payment systems.
  • Familiarity with the retail, hospitality, or service sectors is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and structured reporting.
