The role will be responsible for transforming market insights, industry developments, and business information into compelling, accurate, and audience-focused content.

The ideal candidate combines excellent editorial judgment with strong copywriting skills and understands how to create content that not only informs and engages but also drives the target audience to take a specific action.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, edit, and proofread market-oriented articles for use across broadcasting, publications, websites, newsletters, and digital platforms.
  • Develop compelling copy and editorial content aligned with the company’s brand, target markets, and communication objectives.
  • Create content for marketing materials, including brochures, campaigns, advertisements, email communications, social media, websites, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Translate complex market, industry, and business information into clear, engaging, and accessible content.
  • Write persuasive copy with clear calls-to-action designed to drive specific audience behaviours, such as registration, attendance, enquiries, engagement, downloads, or purchases.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, well-structured, grammatically correct, and consistent with the company’s tone of voice and brand guidelines.
  • Edit and refine content produced by internal teams, contributors, and external writers.
  • Conduct research to identify relevant market trends, industry developments, audience interests, and emerging topics.
  • Develop headlines, titles, introductions, calls-to-action, and other editorial elements that maximise audience engagement.
  • Adapt content for different audiences, formats, channels, and stages of the customer journey.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Events, Sales, Design, Digital, and other internal teams to develop integrated content campaigns.
  • Support the development of thought-leadership content, industry reports, interviews, case studies, opinion pieces, and feature articles.
  • Ensure content is optimised for digital channels and, where required, incorporates SEO principles and audience-search behaviour.
  • Maintain editorial calendars and ensure content is delivered accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Monitor content performance and use audience engagement data and market insights to continuously improve content effectiveness.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong copywriting, editing, proofreading, and storytelling abilities.
  • Ability to write in a clear, persuasive, and commercially focused style.
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation and content marketing principles.
  • Ability to adapt writing style and tone for different audiences and platforms.
  • Strong research and fact-checking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of written English.
  • Ability to develop content with a clear purpose, message, and call-to-action.
  • Strong understanding of marketing communications and digital content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how content supports lead generation, audience acquisition, engagement, and business growth.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Media, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in copywriting, copy editing, journalism, content marketing, publishing, media, or a similar role.
  • Experience producing content for marketing, business, media, events, exhibitions, conferences, or industry publications would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience writing for both editorial and commercial purposes.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating published articles, marketing campaigns, digital content, or other relevant written work.
