Data Engineer (Digital)

Based in Kuala Lumpur, you’ll join an expanding team building data pipelines, audience solutions, and identity platforms that power targeted media campaigns.

This role blends data engineering and software engineering, giving you hands-on experience with big data, cloud platforms, and advanced audience analytics tools and the chance to see the impact of your work on real campaigns.

Key responsibilities:

• Build, maintain, and optimise large-scale data pipelines using in-house tools.
• Process, transform, and validate complex datasets while ensuring data quality and governance.
• Develop audience segments and work with graph data to identify and link audiences across platforms.
• Collaborate with US teams on client projects, agile sprints, and technical knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot and enhance in-house tools for audience analysis and data processing.

What we are looking for:

• Strong Java and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills.
• Hands-on experience with Java, SQL, Python, and ETL/data engineering processes.
• Familiarity with big data frameworks and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Nice to have: Scala, Databricks exposure, or graph database knowledge.
• A proactive, adaptable team player comfortable working across time zones.
