Data Quality Specialist

Salt is currently hiring a Data Quality and Data Observability Specialist for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

We are looking for an experienced Data Quality & Data Observability Specialist to support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide Data Quality and Data Observability capabilities.

Working closely with the Technical Product Manager and Engineering teams, you will help drive tooling adoption, establish best practices and standards, and ensure consistent approaches to data quality and observability across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of Data Quality and Data Observability tools across business units.
• Contribute to the development of standards, frameworks and best practices.
• Create and maintain user guides, playbooks and technical documentation.
• Support the definition of relevant metrics, KPIs and reporting dashboards.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and business stakeholders to embed best practices.

What We’re Looking For

• Technical background in Data Engineering, Data Governance or Data Management.
• Proven, hands-on experience in both Data Quality and Data Observability.
• Practical experience with at least one relevant tool, such as Monte Carlo, Great Expectations, Ataccama, Validio, Acceldata, Datadog or Collibra DQ.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

Important: We are looking for candidates with genuine, hands-on experience in Data Quality and Data Observability. Theoretical knowledge alone is not sufficient.
