What you’ll be doing
- Apply machine learning, optimization, and AI techniques to deliver measurable improvements to the business.
- Test hypotheses, run analyses, and provide recommendations that guide decision-making.
- Communicate insights clearly to stakeholders at different levels.
- Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making.
- Build strong relationships across the business to understand context and challenges.
What we’re looking for
Education:
- A degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or Engineering).
Experience:
- 0-5 years in data science, software development, or a quantitative analysis role.
- Exposure to (or eagerness to learn) tools and techniques such as:
- Programming: Python or R (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, tidyverse, etc.)
- Data handling: SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
- Exploratory data analysis and statistical methods
- Machine learning techniques: regression, clustering, neural networks, decision trees, time series, deep learning
- Optimization methods: linear programming, genetic algorithms, simulated annealing
- Big data platforms: Spark
- Visualization tools: Excel, Tableau, Power BI
- Software practices: version control (Git), reproducibility, deployment
- Generative AI: LLMs and advanced AI approaches for innovative solutions
How we work
- The Data Science team partners closely with BI, data engineering, automation, and other tech functions.
- Hybrid work model (typically remote on Mondays and Fridays).
- Majority project-based work (80%+) with some solution support (~20%).
- Expect ownership of a key part of projects, regular updates to leadership, and plenty of collaboration.
- Innovation is encouraged team hackathons and internal challenges are part of the culture.
