Data Modeller

Data Modeller | 6 Month Contract | Nottingham

My client a leading Energy and Utilities supplier are busy building a new Digital Platform. In line with this they are looking to bring on board a Data Modeler for an initial 6 month contract with likely extensions.

Work Experience:

• 5-10-years work experience in projects / roles focused on building strong, consistent data capabilities
• Significant experience of working for a large multinational in an agile environment (e.g., SAFe)
• Significant Data Architecture experience: data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical), defining data standards, managing the meta data
• Experience in designing or analysing the interfaces between the systems, ideally in a SaaS model
• In-depth understanding of the data architecture of at least one of the major systems in the current landscape (Salesforce Sales & Services; PowerCloud; Gentract Velocity; OpenText)
• Profound understanding of software architectures and solution integrations based on SaaS beneficial
• Very good communication skills and stakeholder management

Required Skills (must have):

• Significant data modelling experience
• Data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Data standards definition
• Management of the meta data catalogue
• Analysis and documentation of the data lineage
• Ability to translate the business requirements into data models
• Experience in negotiating and defining the standards for the metadata

Desired Skills (desirable):

• Experience in utilities industry and data architecture of the systems like SFDC Sales/Service, Gentrack Velocity, Powercloud beneficial
• Experience in writing, optimizing, and validating SQL queries beneficial

Languages:

• English (required)
• German (beneficial)
