Senior Digital Software Manager // Kuala Lumpur
Join a leading international B2B SaaS platform powering the global car rental industry. This is a genuinely exciting chapter for the business and a rare opportunity to come in at a formative stage. You’ll work very closely with the founders, who remain deeply hands-on, and you’ll report directly to the co-founders based in Australia. This is the company’s first full-time hire in Malaysia, making it a highly visible and critical role.
This role is for someone who takes real pride in ownership and leadership, and who is motivated by autonomy rather than instruction. You’re not looking to be told what to do step by step; you’re looking to build, shape, and problem-solve alongside founders who trust your judgement. Trust is the secret sauce here. You will be their eyes and ears on the ground in Malaysia, operating as a true extension of the founding team. In a lean environment, you’ll naturally wear multiple hats and thrive as the person who brings clarity to complexity.
On the client-facing side, you will lead the delivery of digital services including bespoke web design projects, front-end styling using CSS and HTML. You’ll brief offshore agencies and contractors, ensure visual and functional accuracy, manage the onboarding and “move-in” process for new clients, and carry out rigorous quality assurance on front-end layouts and automation logic before handover.
Alongside this, you will support internal software development initiatives, working closely with the engineering team on core SaaS feature updates, API integration, and AI-driven product enhancements. You’ll translate business needs into clear, detailed Jira tickets with well-defined acceptance criteria, and you’ll actively groom and prioritise the backlog to keep work moving smoothly through the development life cycle.
Operational excellence sits at the heart of the role. You’ll turn rough meeting notes into structured, unambiguous technical briefs, manage timelines, and obtain accurate cost and effort estimates from both internal and external development teams. You’ll also own Jira end to end, maintaining boards, documentation, and status updates so the founders have clear, at-a-glance visibility on progress at all times.
