Function: Performance Management Office
We’re partnering with a leading organisation in the resources sector to appoint a Document Management Lead. This is a key role responsible for establishing, optimising, and governing document management practices across major technical studies and projects.
You’ll sit at the centre of project delivery and technical operations, ensuring critical documentation is structured, accessible, and compliant across the business.
The Opportunity
This role will see you take ownership of document control strategy and execution, working closely with project teams, technical stakeholders, and IT to ensure best-in-class document management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead document control support across major studies and project initiatives
- Design and implement document management frameworks, including numbering and classification systems
- Oversee storage, organisation, and accessibility of digital and physical records
- Build and maintain a centralised technical library of historical studies and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with document retention, governance, and disposal standards
- Manage and optimise document management systems and tools
- Deliver training and guidance to stakeholders on document control processes
- Partner with IT and technical teams to ensure system integration and efficiency
About You
- Proven experience in document control, records management, or document management leadership roles
- Strong capability across document management systems (e.g. Aconex, SharePoint, Objective, OpenText or similar)
- Solid understanding of document governance, compliance, and lifecycle management
- Ability to operate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
Preferred Background
- Degree or certification in Business Administration, Records Management, Library Science, or a related discipline
- Experience supporting large-scale projects, engineering environments, or technical teams
