Engineering Manager

Own the technical strategy and architecture for a trading platform covering:

• Order lifecycle and execution
• Market data ingestion and distribution
• Positions and portfolio
• Settlement and reconciliation
• Broker, exchange, and market-data integrations
• Reliability and correctness under live market conditions
• Latency budgets and latency-spike management
• Idempotency and reconciliation to ensure books are correct
• Audit-grade observability and incident response
• Rigorous testing and controlled releases

Partner closely with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Finance to ensure regulatory, KYC/AML, and audit requirements are built into the platform from the beginning.

Must-Have Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years leading engineering teams, including hiring and growing engineers
• Direct experience building or operating online stock trading, brokerage, or capital-markets systems
• Hard requirement: Candidate must have shipped order management, execution, market data, or settlement systems in production
• Strong understanding of:
• Order types and order lifecycle
• Market data feeds
• Clearing and settlement
• Corporate actions
• Reconciliation and audit requirements
• Regulated trading environments
• Strong technical judgment around correctness and latency
• Experience with AWS / private cloud / hybrid environments
• Comfortable with TypeScript, Go, PostgreSQL
• Experience working alongside Compliance/Risk in regulated financial products
• Able to move quickly in a greenfield environment without compromising correctness or controls

Nice to Have:

• Launched a retail trading/investing product from zero
• FIX protocol
• Exchange or broker connectivity
• MENA/emerging-market financial-services experience
• Local regulatory knowledge
